It’s one of the amazing things about ourselves

Being empowered is what I’m talking about!

Did you know the opposite is forbid? That’s just horrifying to me. Empowered is independence. It’s freedom, positive sense of self. It’s feeling an accomplished state of self-responsibility and self-determination.  How beautiful is that?

Well it’s also the subject of my next training in the training series 5 Key Money Areas, are you ready to find out?  I hope so, listen here then pop back to share (or email me personally at kim@kimravida.com) just how empowered you feel – or if you aren’t feeling empowered just yet, what is taking you away from being empowered?

The secret is only you can empower yourself, so start now.

As a business owner, it is important for you to empower yourself and others, especially your team, clients and other people who come into contact with you.  Tell me, where are you excelling or where are you falling down here?

  1. Very interesting Kim. I had no idea the forbid was the opposite of being empowered. It certainly makes you want to make sure you are empowering yourself than forbidding yourself to do something!

    • Terry, you aren’t the only one. That stopped me in my tracks for sure. No one wants to be forbidden do they? I am much more are for myself now when I’m not feeling empowered and do what I can to change it.

      Thanks for commenting.

  2. Interesting. Forbidding always end in rebellion. When we rebel we usually we usually do thing rashly. Not always good. So t would rather empower someone to do the thing that I want them to do than to forbid them from doing something that I do not want them to do.

    • Juan, right on! Rebellion shows up when we resist as well. So if there is something that isn’t getting done, how can you empower yourself to do it? It’s a fascinating word isn’t it?

      Thanks for commenting

  3. Hey Kim, thanks for your great podcast.. I have been following along and I did my 1-10 for each of the areas around money forgiveness, boundaries, actions, empowerment and mindset. You are right, from listening to your recordings I need to change my ratings. In order for me to be empowered I learned from you I need to “give power to, allow and authorize” in order to shift.. Yes they are powerful words..thanks for sharing your talents in this free training. I see now that I need to allow empowerment into all areas of my life including the 5 Key Money Areas.

    • Thanks Karen for sharing. I’m excited for you! It sounds like you had your starting place and now you see where you want to go! Stay tuned, tomorrow is the day you’ll be able to take the quiz to see exactly where you gap(s) is. I’ll be curious to see if it’s the same as what you feel it is today =)
