Recommended Books

I love to read for both business and pleasure. As an avid reader I always like to share amazing books and those that have made a difference in my life. In my quest to offer inspiration, motivation, as well as help and solutions, here are my favorites and ones I think you’ll get the most out of. 13 Things Mentally Strong People Don’t Do by Amy Morin.
This book is a must read to improve the quality of your life! Amy Morin will help you see what not to do so that you can increase your mental strength and change your attitude. Her story examples will help you to see how you can begin to make small changes that equal big results!

Profit First by Mike Michalowicz. Mike has created an amazing, easy system that will have you turning a profit in the first month that you implement his system. The Profit First system makes sense, is easy to do and, best of all, you’ll see results within 30 days. If you want to improve the bottom line for your business and/or home finances — and have more money for yourself — this book is for you! I know this works, I use it myself.

Pumpkin Plan by Mike Michalowicz. Mike has such a unique knack to breaking business processes down so that they are understandable and do-able. This is a fabulous book about how to find your sweet spot with steps to take that will have you stop working for less-than-ideal clients or having less-than-ideal customers. Have a business that is lucrative and enjoyable to run!

The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur by Mike Michalowicz. This is a down-to-earth book in which Mike tells you honestly how to get started in business and not get caught up in all the hoopla that you think you need. This book will help you take the right steps in order to start making money for your business and yourself. (And don’t forget, Profit First!)

Smart Marketing for Real People by Laura Meck. If you are a do-it-yourselfer entrepreneur and want to get your business on track or up to the next level, this book will help with your plan, target market, goals, sales & marketing and much more. This book has tons of practical things that you can implement in your business today to start seeing results tomorrow. It’s an easy to follow set of systems with graphics that are clear and concise for you to get started immediately.

Power Goals by Christina Skytt is an amazing action-oriented book that will have you reaching your goals in no time and feel amazing while doing so. The results will be better productivity, happiness and success. I have read many books but this one is clear, concise and inspiring. She takes you step by step to setting them and following through with them and it’s super easy! It is a book I use often and can truly say it’s made a big difference to me in my business and to my clients as well.

The Greatness Zone – Know Yourself, Find Your Fit, Transform the World by Jay Forte has written an amazing story that will help you see why you want to be in your greatness zone! This book will have you thinking about what you want and how to get it. It is truly remarkable and worth having in your library and in your life!

Just Jump by Marjorie Geiser, RD, NSCA-CPT
Marjorie is my mentor and friend, and Just Jump is THE book to have for starting up your business. While it’s geared toward health and fitness professionals, it is by no means exclusive to them. If you want a step-by-step, easy to follow and implement guide, then this book is it! It’s not a theory book; it’s a book that will have you in action and creating your successful business. 18 Minutes by Peter Bregman
An amazing book that I have gotten a lot out of and use when working with my clients is Peter Bregman’s 18 Minutes. In it he has amazing tips, techniques and stories that he shares so that you can create a highly productive and effective working environment. Click the link at the right to check it out.

The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein
While not a business book, this is one not to be missed. It is one that you can learn from as well as be entertained by. Garth Stein’s The Art of Racing in the Rain is an absolute must read especially if you are a lover of dogs. It is funny, emotional and so inspirational. Click the link at the right to check it out.

Do you need permission to share your mission with the world? Permission Is Granted: Be a Better You paperback by Kimberly J. McCloskey is the book for you! Kimberly is a wonderful writer who enjoys helping people change themselves for the better. This is a book that you will read and then refer to often as she offers digestible tips and ideas so that you become a better you easily and effortlessly!
