What valuable opportunities are you actually making for yourself?

My blog yesterday was about how action is the key to success. It was in regards to money (one of my favorite subjects if you haven’t already guessed =).

As a business owner it is important to be in action in many areas of your business. I recently committed to doing a month long blog challenge; you may know this if you read my blog. It’s posting a blog a day (now that’s a lot of action). Did I mention that I was blogging 1-2 times a month before this?

At first I wasn’t sure I wanted to do it but I said yes in spite of not being sure. And boy am I glad I did. I wanted to share with you what has happened for me because I decided to participate and take an act every day toward my results.

How we do one thing is how we do everything, I was able to use the steps I outlined in my article yesterday “An awesome way to be powerful in making money” because the steps applied to my action on blogging daily and away I went.

Here is what I learned:

  • I am more disciplined than I was giving myself credit for.
  • It’s easier than I had thought.
  • How to have fun with this process.
  • To navigate in WordPress (I didn’t do my own posting before).
  • How to link back to previous articles.
  • To create images to share on my blog posts.
  • Why it’s important to create intriguing titles.

The really amazing part though is how much more confidence I have had with myself.  AND there is still two weeks to go!  Imagine what will happen for me in the next two weeks.  I can’t wait.

Have you ever taken an action that you learned more from than you thought you would? I would love to hear what happened for you. Feel free to post here or email me privately at kim@kimravida.com to share.

  2. Hi Kathy, I’m with you! It’s amazing though isn’t it =) I am in awe of the things I’ve learned so far, the things I have even taught myself and also what is yet to come.

    Thanks for sharing.

  3. Took the challenge to het some motivation with my blogging, have not been consistent before, Am glad I did as I have received valuable nuggets from the other participants, the comments are great motivators

    • Hi Juan, it’s so cool what a challenge can do for us! I wanted to prove to myself that I could be consistent and not make a big deal about it and I’ve gotten so much more as it sounds like you have too =)

  4. Great blog post Kim. I try o find something new either once a week or once a month that I can do to become a habit. Kind of off topic however, I am a nutritionist and I consult with people about food. One of the things I do is when a new diet comes out, I read all I can about it and then I incorporate it for at least a month or two depending on the diet. Sometimes the results are not good so, I end it. I do this so that I can have an understanding how others feel and can relate to what they are going through. Plus I know the diets inside and out. When it comes to business I do the same thing; if there is a new social media platform I will commit to giving it a go and see how it does. If there are aspects of my business I do not like I will overcome the challenge by actually doing them see how it goes and then if I truly do not like it I will then hire that portion out. I have learned from everything I have challenged myself to do. Even if I still did not like it I still gave myself a pat on the back… We must challenge ourselves in order to move forward and send the universal message we are willing to try new things which, also means keeping fresh in your business.

    • Karen, you a rare gem. I’m in awe that you will take the time to read and to experiment with new diets to get a real life feel for them as well as putting yourself in your clients shoes. That is truly admirable.

It is in the challenge that the win is had. I’m defining win as that pat on the back that you mentioned. Yay me is a very empowering statement. To have the guts/courage to try it, to see what will happen for you by doing it is something not a lot of people would willingly do. So from me to you – YAY YOU! =)
